Description

These golden, crispy stuffing balls are the perfect twist on classic holiday stuffingโ€”savory, tender, and bursting with flavor. Great as a side dish, appetizer, or festive bite!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups cubed stale bread
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1/2 cup cooked sausage or dried cranberries for variation

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and celery, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cubed bread, sautรฉed vegetables, and seasonings. Mix well.
  4. Whisk eggs with broth and pour over the bread mixture. Stir until evenly moistened. The mixture should hold its shape when pressed together.
  5. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized rounds and place them on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes or until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
  7. Serve warm with gravy, cranberry sauce, or your favorite dip.

Notes

For a crispy texture, brush the tops with melted butter before baking. You can air fry at 375ยฐF for 10โ€“12 minutes for a lighter version. Perfect for freezingโ€”reheat in the oven for a quick, flavorful side.
