These soft and chewy bakery-style cookies are packed with crunchy Oreo chunks and colorful Valentine’s M&M’s, making them the perfect festive treat for sharing or gifting.
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅔ cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
- 7 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt, mixing just until a soft dough forms.
- Gently fold in the chopped Oreos and Valentine’s M&M’s.
- Scoop 2-tablespoon portions of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2½ inches apart.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes until edges are set and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, slightly underbake the cookies for chewy centers and press a few extra M&M’s on top before baking for a bakery-style look.
