Ingredients
- 8 slices white sandwich bread
- 8 breakfast sausage links
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, optional
- 2 tablespoons butter, for cooking
- Maple syrup, for serving
- Powdered sugar, optional
- Fresh fruit, optional
Instructions
- Cook sausage links according to package directions until fully cooked and set aside.
- Trim crusts from bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
- Place one sausage on each slice and roll tightly, seam side down.
- Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar in a shallow bowl.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each roll-up in egg mixture, coating all sides.
- Cook roll-ups, turning often, until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove from heat and serve warm with maple syrup and toppings.
Notes
