Description

This pineapple pecan cheese ball blends creamy cheese, sweet pineapple, savory seasonings, and crunchy pecans into a festive, crowd-pleasing appetizer that’s effortless, flavorful, and perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup finely diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) crushed pineapple, very well drained
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups pecan chips or finely chopped pecans
  • Butter crackers
  • Whole-grain crackers
  • Pretzels or fresh vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Drain crushed pineapple thoroughly, pressing out excess liquid. Dice red bell pepper and slice green onion.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add pineapple, bell pepper, green onion, seasoned salt, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 cup pecans. Mix well.
  3. Shape mixture into a ball on plastic wrap, wrap tightly, and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight.
  4. Before serving, roll chilled cheese ball in remaining pecans until fully coated.
  5. Serve with crackers, pretzels, cucumbers, or celery sticks.

Notes

Drain pineapple thoroughly to prevent a soft cheese ball. Chill overnight for best structure and flavor. Toast pecans for extra aroma and crunch.
