Description

Crispy egg rolls filled with tender beef, sautรฉed onions and peppers, and melty cheese. These Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are easy to make, fun to serve, and perfect for parties, game days, and casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire-style sauce
  • ยฝ teaspoon salt
  • ยฝ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices provolone cheese, chopped
  • 12 to 16 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil, for frying


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until just done.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire-style sauce and remove from heat.
  6. Add provolone cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Let filling cool slightly before assembling.
  8. Place filling in egg roll wrappers and roll tightly, sealing with beaten egg.
  9. Heat oil to 350ยฐF.
  10. Fry egg rolls in batches until golden and crispy.
  11. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Do not overfill egg rolls to prevent bursting. Keep oil temperature steady for the crispiest texture. These can also be baked or air-fried for a lighter option.
