- ¼ cup (56g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups (180g) pecans, roughly chopped
Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Make the Brownie Batter:
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Partially Bake the Brownies: Place the brownies in the oven and bake for 20 minutes until they are just set. Remove from the oven but keep the oven on.
Prepare the Pecan Pie Topping:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
Add the Pecan Pie Layer: Carefully pour the pecan pie mixture over the partially baked brownies, spreading it evenly.
Bake Again: Return the pan to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the pecan topping is set and slightly golden.
Cool Completely: Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 2 hours before slicing. For best results, refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting to get clean slices.
Serve & Enjoy! Cut into squares and enjoy your rich, gooey Pecan Pie Brownies!
Notes
