Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- Mini chocolate chips (optional)
- Chopped peanuts (optional)
- Shredded coconut (optional)
- Butterscotch chips (optional)

Instructions
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in sugar and milk; stir until smooth and bubbling.
- Bring mixture to a rolling boil and cook for 1 1/2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Fold in oats until fully coated.
- Drop scoops onto lined baking sheets and let set for 20–30 minutes, or refrigerate to speed up.
Notes
Boil the syrup for exactly 90 seconds for the perfect texture. Avoid natural peanut butter for best results.
