Description
A hearty and comforting one pot dinner made with tender steak, cheesy tortellini, sautรฉed peppers and onions, all tossed in a rich garlic parmesan sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 1 to 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 cups frozen or fresh pepper and onion blend
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 cup chicken broth, low sodium preferred
- 6 ounces garlic parmesan wing sauce
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Season steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Sear steak in the skillet for 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sautรฉ peppers and onions for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Remove vegetables from the skillet and set aside.
- Add chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add cheese tortellini, cover, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to medium low and stir in garlic parmesan sauce.
- Add steak and vegetables back to the skillet and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded parmesan cheese over the top, cover, and let melt for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan cheese, then serve hot.
Notes
Do not overcook the steak during the initial sear. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of warm chicken broth to loosen it.
