Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4โ5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional fresh parsley or basil
- Optional red pepper flakes
- Extra Parmesan for serving
Instructions
- Place a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
- Add the butter and allow it to melt completely.
- Add the minced garlic and sautรฉ for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the uncooked pasta to the pot.
- Pour in the milk and broth, stirring gently to submerge the pasta.
- Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook for 10โ12 minutes, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Remove from heat.
- Garnish with herbs or extra cheese if desired and serve immediately.
