Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4โ€“5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional fresh parsley or basil
  • Optional red pepper flakes
  • Extra Parmesan for serving


Instructions

  1. Place a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the butter and allow it to melt completely.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sautรฉ for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the uncooked pasta to the pot.
  5. Pour in the milk and broth, stirring gently to submerge the pasta.
  6. Bring to a gentle simmer.

  8. Reduce heat to low.
  9. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
