Description

Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus Skillet is a fresh, vibrant, and easy one-pan dinner featuring juicy shrimp, tender-crisp asparagus, fragrant garlic, and bright lemon flavors.


Ingredients

  • pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 1 large lemon, zested and juiced
  • ½ teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or lemon slices for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat half of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 1½ to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add remaining olive oil to the skillet.
  6. Add asparagus and sauté for 4 to 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic.
  8. Cook garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  9. Add lemon juice and lemon zest and stir to combine.
  10. Return shrimp and any juices to the skillet.
  11. Toss everything together and cook 1 to 2 minutes until heated through.
  12. Adjust seasoning and garnish with parsley or lemon slices before serving.

Notes

Use large shrimp for best texture and avoid overcooking. Serve immediately for the freshest flavor.
