Description

Heart-Shaped Nutella Truffles for Valentine’s Day are an easy no-bake dessert made with creamy Nutella, crushed cookies, and a smooth chocolate coating, shaped into festive hearts perfect for gifting or sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1.75 cups finely crushed chocolate sandwich cookies or chocolate wafers
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable oil (optional)
  • Valentine sprinkles (optional)
  • Pink or red sanding sugar (optional)
  • White chocolate for drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix Nutella, crushed cookies, melted butter, and vanilla until a thick mixture forms.
  2. Refrigerate the mixture for 20 to 30 minutes until firm enough to shape.
  3. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and shape into heart shapes. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze shaped truffles for 15 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt chocolate with coconut oil in short intervals until smooth.
  6. Dip each heart-shaped truffle into melted chocolate and return to parchment.
  7. Decorate with sprinkles or sanding sugar while chocolate is wet.
  8. Refrigerate until chocolate is fully set, then serve.

Notes

Chill the mixture as needed while shaping to keep clean heart shapes and smooth chocolate coating.
