Description

Easy Sauteed Zucchini Mushrooms and Onions is a quick, healthy, and flavorful vegetable side dish made with simple ingredients and ready in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 2 large zucchini, sliced into half moons
  • 8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter or olive oil.
  2. Add the zucchini, mushrooms, and onions in an even layer.
  3. Cook undisturbed for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Stir and continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes until tender.
  5. Add the garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Cook for 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Remove from heat and adjust seasoning if needed.

Notes

Use a wide skillet to avoid steaming the vegetables and add salt near the end for best texture.
