Description

Easy Chocolate Dipped Brownie Hearts for Valentine’s Day are rich, fudgy brownies cut into adorable heart shapes and dipped in smooth melted chocolate. This simple, festive dessert is perfect for sharing love with family, friends, or a Valentine’s Day crowd.

Ingredients

  • 2 family size boxes brownie mix
  • Eggs, as called for on the brownie mix boxes
  • Water, as called for on the brownie mix boxes
  • Vegetable oil, as called for on the brownie mix boxes
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 oz dark chocolate melting wafers or chocolate bark
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles or heart sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions using eggs, water, and oil.
  3. Fold in the semi sweet chocolate chips until evenly combined.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake according to package directions until set but still moist.
  6. Allow brownies to cool completely, then lift out using parchment paper.
  7. Cut brownies into heart shapes using a heart shaped cookie cutter.
  8. Place brownie hearts on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for 15–20 minutes.
  9. Melt the chocolate wafers according to package instructions until smooth.
  10. Dip one side of each brownie heart into melted chocolate and let excess drip off.
  11. Place back on parchment paper and add sprinkles if desired.
  12. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until chocolate is fully set.

Notes

Chilling the brownies before dipping helps them hold their shape and allows the chocolate to set quickly. Store finished brownie hearts in the refrigerator for best results.
