- 8 oz cream cheese (Philadelphia or similar)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar or powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Optional: 1 tbsp liqueur (Amaretto, Kahlua, or Grand Marnier)
- Optional: 1 tsp citrus zest
Instructions
- Take cream cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before making fondue.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract while mixing.
- Slowly pour in heavy cream and continue whisking until the mixture is velvety.
- If using liqueur or citrus zest, mix them in.
- Transfer the mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm over low heat.
- Serve immediately with your choice of dippers.
Notes
For best results, use a double boiler or a fondue pot to prevent scorching. Stir occasionally to maintain a smooth consistency.
